The setting was very cozy and welcoming Fun experience too when getting a pot of tea to share with friends

Great place to catch up with friends over tea or coffee. They have a no-laptop zone which is nice, because it attracts people to come there as a group, which makes for a euro-style cafe experience

I have been going here for almost a year now. I go to no other cafe. Why? - Authentic espresso, made perfectly, for a good price. - Delicious pastries - tiramisu, almond cream crossaint, strawberry cakes, delicious yogurts, flat-breads with proscuitto, genoa, or spreads - Smiling, friendly, warm, and conversational service from all seven workers I have met. - Open late until 11PM - Standing bar -- perfect for those who work with laptops. Did you know standing improves memory? - AMAZING imported Italian sodas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Great people all-around visit this place and it's very fun to hear and be around other hard-working people talking about their lives and careers. Perfect location! As a student, this place is my weekend escape.

This cute cafe is so cozy. They are dine in only and dont do take out which forces you to relax and slow down. The chocolate drink was delightful. My friend and I asked it cold and they were able to do it. Would love to try their other drinks next time!

Just adding new pics here to highlight how awesome this place is. I never got disappointed. Food is great, coffee is excellent. The staff is really nice!

It's a touristic Italian coffee shop with Italian desserts! The name tells it all! It's a self service cafe. If you're a chocolate lover, this is your haven! This place is famous for real (European) hot chocolate or chocolate mousse. Pastries are fresh and delicious. Hot chocolate is actually melted chocolate not hot coco There are indoor and limited (laptop free) outdoor seating. Parking may be tough since it's right in the middle of Palo Alto downtown, but still possible in surrounding streets parking and lots. Of course good for kids and a small meet up. It's a bit pricy but given the quality and atmosphere may be debatable.

Loved the chocolatey drinks here! The marocchino is rich and not too sweet with fresh chocolate shavings on top, definitely must try. They are one of the only coffee shops open late in downtown Palo Alto, even on weekday nights there's usually a good amount of people sitting, working and chatting. But one thing about this place is that there is no wifi! Ambiance is lovely with cute light fixtures and high ceilings. Docking one star because the service took a while, the baristas seemed to be more interested in arranging cups and spoons behind the counter rather than acknowledging me and the two customers in front of me. This was also around 8pm on a Tuesday evening when it wasn't that busy. After about five min of waiting they finally decided to take our orders.

It had a while since I've had an after-dinner coffee. Cafe Venetia was a good place to do that. The coffee is quite good. I travelled to Europe a while ago and always noted how good the coffee was over there. I had the Macchiatone and it reminded to some the cafes in Florence and Rome. It was quite good. Service was good and the everything was tidy and clean. This is a great place to a coffee and conversation. I will definitely add it to my Palo Alto lineup.
